A complete listing of our Departments and their Descriptions.

Command Staff:
The Command Staff is responsible for the leadership and administration of the club.
 
Engineering:
A crew of hard working, hard playing individuals that keep the ship up and running.  The Engineering Department is in charge of the Quartermaster section ... which includes manufacturing anything needed by the club and, also, fund raising.  The "Chef Engineer" is in charge of the grille at the annual BBQ.
 
Records:
Creating and maintaining  the service records.  In charge of record keeping and tracking rank promotion data.  Records works with Personnel to make sure the new 'recruit' has a smooth transition to full membership.
 
Conn/Navigation:
Conn (also known as "Helm") steers the ship.  The captain will assign specific 'real-life" responsibilities.   Conn helps make sure that the ship/club is going in the right direction.
 
Science:
Promotes science knowledge through the development of training materials and science orientated activities.
 
Communications:
In charge of the club newsletter, photo album, scrapbook (news clippings), web page, make sure everyone is informed of any club activites, take notes at meetings ...
 
Medical:
In charge of promoting health and morale within the club.  May set up medical education within the ship/club (i.e. CPR classes), keep track of the members medical information/emergency sheet at all outdoor activites, take pictures at the club events (and getting photos to Communications).
 
Tactical:
In charge of inter-ship competition ... setting up competition between ships/clubs, helping with the Security Department.
 
Security:
In charge of providing manpower.  Whether a member is moving and needs help, setting up and taking down at club events, helping at local conventions ...
 
Personnel:
In charge of helping new recruits.  Makes sure the new recruits feel welcome, new recruits receive their "welcome" packets, all the paperwork turned in, assign new members to various departments.  Also, in charge of 'morale' responsiblities (flowers, cards, etc).
 
Civilian Services:
Civilian Services helps crew members in area that have no 'interaction' with the daily running of the ship, i.e. teachers, children of crew, maids, 10-forward, etc.
 
Cadet Training:
Cadet Training Program is for all young persons under the age requirement for shipboard duty with specific programs and activities to help them prepare for careers on the Bald Eagle or in the fleet.
